How do you guys price your moves? How do you compare with other movers?

We price our moves a lot differently than other movers. Many of our competitors give the lowest quote possible and then add on extra fees after the work has been done (and the customer can’t do anything about it). Some of them will even hold your client’s possessions hostage. We do things differently – each of our experienced estimators work to create a transparent, fair, and upfront estimate. As long as the scope of work doesn’t change (i.e.: client said they would be packed but then needs us to do it, didn’t disclose extra things that need to be moved, etc.), we will always honor our original price.

What about damage? What’s covered and what’s not?

As a mover, we go above and beyond to help protect your client’s valuable property. However, no mover is perfect, even us. For nicks and scratches, we have an amazing repair guy. For unique or very valuable items, we always recommend the client add insurance during the estimating process. Also, if extra precautions need to be taken (for example, in a custom home with special flooring or paint), the time needed to help put up extra protection needs to be worked into the overall estimate.

Do you move pianos?

Yep, we move them, even up and down stairs. The secret is in the prep. If the piano isn’t properly protected before the move, you have a much higher chance of damage.

What is contingency storage and how can it help my clients?

As a Realtor, you know that not every transaction goes as planned. Sometimes a client needs to store their belongings for just a few days. Contingency storage is a great solution. We’ll pack everything up, store it in our local climate-controlled warehouse, and then unpack it one, two, three, or however many days later that they need it delivered. We also have great rates on long-term storage as well.
