GYMO Top Ten Most Asked Questions (Part Deaux)

Alright people, it is everything you have been waiting for…the second half of our long-awaited Top Ten List:

5. DO YOU HAVE STORAGE?

Yes. And it’s actually great. We pad-wrap each item that is going to leave your home, bring it to our climate-controlled, secure facility, inventory it, stack it in room order, and it’s returned to you when you need it in amazing condition. Have you ever put something in storage and then needed it right away? Of course! Everyone has! That’s why we inventory everything and know exactly where your items are. Do you do that when you put your own items into storage? Didn’t think so.If you need something, we get it. No extra cost.

4. HOW DO YOU CHARGE?

We are a time and materials company. The way we figure time is based on mileage based on zone and amount of workers needed. Yes, it costs more per hour for three guys and a truck, but if it is going to take substantially less hours than two guys, that’s what we do and why we do it. Packing materials are extra, but they will be personally dropped off by the lovely Roger Greene, included in the service. Pad-wrapping is included in each and every move. Trust me. It makes a difference.

3. HOW BIG ARE YOUR TRUCKS?

Big. No, seriously, they are the largest local moving trucks on the market. We use 26-foot-high cube trucks.

2. ARE YOUR MOVERS FULL-TIME GYMO EMPLOYEES?

Yes. And this is a big one folks. Our employees are on the payroll. They are eligible for worker’s compensation. They are eVerified. A GREAT question to ask anyone who you are considering using to move your home is for their worker’s compensation certificate. If they do not have one, if they backpedal in ANY way, run. Run the other direction. Or hang up the phone. Or whatever. This is super-important. If the moving company does not carry a worker’s compensation certificate, this means that any injury that occurs to a mover while they are moving your home can fall under your responsibility. Yes. They can sue you for damages, injury, whatever. There is a high likelihood of injury in the moving industry, and you do not want the chance of that falling under the responsiliby of the homeowner. Asking and verifying this question can weed out 99% of the crooks out there. And here it is…the NUMBER ONE, MOST-ASKED QUESTION WE GET HERE AT GYMO:(Insert Drumroll here)

1. ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?

Yes! Well, as licensed and insured as you need to be in the state of Arizona. There is no actual ‘moving license’ or moving regulatory body in the state of Arizona. We are licensed to do business in Arizona. You can search our company name on the Arizona Corporation Commission website. Our insurance policy is through Movers Choice, underwritten by Zurich. You can ask for our certificate. Since there is no regulating body for movers, it is especially important that you check out review sites such as Yelp and Google, ask family and friends for referrals, and more. Well, that’s it. Our top ten FAQ. If you have any more questions that went unanswered, give us a call!
